Protein Pancakes & Developing Your Faith
Happy Taco Tuesday everyone! I hope you are having a great week so far. Mid February is a busy time of celebration in my house. During this ten day window, we celebrate my oldest daughter’s birthday, Valentine’s Day, and my wife’s birthday. As a result of the celebrations, I did not blog last week. However, I plan to double up this week with two recipes. I’ll share the first one today and the second one later this week.
Yesterday, I wanted to try a new protein pancake recipe. My family loved it and my oldest daughter told me that the pancakes tasted better than Cracker Barrel’s. (That’s a high compliment coming from her.) Below you’ll find my recipe for my Dad Life Protein Pancakes.
In the same way that protein is essential to developing your muscles, God’s Word is essential to developing your faith. Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. If you are not continually hearing God’s Word as a lifestyle, your faith will not grow. In the same way, eating protein rich foods will not automatically grow your muscles. If you want to develop your muscles, you have to use them. If you want to have mountain moving faith, you must continually hear God’s Word and you must use the faith that you have. I wrote a whole chapter on how to do this in my book, No Longer Mere Mortals. There is a wonderful, supernatural lifestyle of faith available for you if you would develop your faith and use your faith to go into the future God has for you.
Dad Life Protein Pancakes
Yesterday was my weight lifting workout day. As such, I wanted to increase the amount of protein I consumed for the day by making protein pancakes. I searched for a recipe and I found one for Easy Vegan Protein Pancakes. I took this recipe, remixed it, and created the pancakes I made for my family yesterday. Here are the ingredients and the steps I implemented:
4 teaspoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 cups of unsweetened coconut milk
2 cups of all purpose flour
2/3 cup of protein powder (pea based)
1 tsp of Himalayan Salt
4 tbsp of Cane Sugar
2 tbsp of Baking Powder
Mix the ingredients together thoroughly. Scoop two tbsps of batter onto a heated skillet. (I prefer to use a cast iron skillet). Cook for approximately two minutes on medium heat. Flip and cook for the other side for an additional minute. This recipe makes approximately 20 pancakes. Enjoy!

Grow by leaps and bounds in daily Christian disciplines
