Navigating Office Politics & Not Overloading With Caffeine

Happy Juneteenth everyone! I hope that all the Dads had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend. Over the last few blogs, we shared different prayers to pray for people where you work. (Thank you for all the feedback and for those who shared these prayers with others.) As we pray for others, we are positively impacting their lives and positioning ourselves to be refreshed and have others pray for us as well. In today’s blog, I’ll share a prayer that will help you navigate office politics.

Recently, someone asked me to blog about how I stay hydrated even though I like drinking coffee. (I am a coffee enthusiast.) In the morning, as the water for my coffee is heating, I drink between 8 oz to 16 oz of water. For lunch and dinner, I usually only drink water with my meals. On one day a week, I do not drink any caffeine. Although I enjoy coffee and take an organic pre-workout on gym days, I am cautious to not overload my body with caffeine. While I make my coffee, I take time to pray. I’ve included a prayer below that you should pray (maybe while you make your coffee or tea) before you start your work day tomorrow:

Heavenly Father,

I thank you for another day. Thank you for never leaving me or forsaking me. I ask that you grant me wisdom and understanding concerning navigating all of the situations where I work. (James 1:5) I thank you that I can hear Your voice. I will follow the wisdom you give me. (John 10:27). Help me to be light, salt, to follow your Word, to walk in love, operate in a spirit of excellence, and be a blessing to others. (Matthew 5:13-16, Joshua 1:8, Ephesians 5:2, Daniel 6:3, Proverbs 11:25). I ask that you deliver me from the plots and schemes of wicked and unreasonable people. (2 Thess 3:2) Thank You for hearing my prayer. I receive Your wisdom, Your help, and Your deliverance. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Have a great week everyone,

Kerrick
