My Life Hack For Dealing With Pollen, Immunity Boosting Tea, & A Boost For Your Soul
Welcome to March! This will be a good month for you! Did you know that expecting to see God’s goodness in your life is vital? It is more than just being a hopeful or positive thinking person. In Psalm 27:13, David said that he would have fainted if he did not believe He would see the goodness of God in the land of the living. David wasn’t expecting to only see God’s goodness in eternity; David expected to see the goodness of God in his everyday life. As we learn from this Psalm’s stanza, believing that you will see God’s goodness will strengthen you. If you don’t believe you’ll see God’s goodness, you will grow tired and want to quit. If you believe you will see God’s goodness, you will be strengthened and will face every challenge with hope and expectation of a positive outcome. No matter what you are facing today, remember God is good. He has good plans for your life. Focus on His goodness and keep moving forward.
My Life Hack For Dealing With Pollen Related Allergies
It is almost Spring time! In Georgia, as the Spring approaches, so does the greenish-yellow cloud of pollen that covers everything. I even saw some on my deck earlier this week. When I lived in Texas, I learned an important life hack from friends who attended our church there. I’ve applied this life hack for 14 years now and I have found it helpful.
What’s my life hack? Local honey. Now, there is still a debate over how effective local honey is for dealing with allergies. Both sides have valid points and I truly hope that the scientific study continues. I have found that it helps me if I begin to take local honey weeks before the pollen season begins. I typically add a tablespoon to my morning coffee or tea. Try it out and let me know how it works for you.
Immunity Boosting Tea
Over the last few years, my family and I have learned the benefits of elderberry. In early 2020, my wife and oldest daughter began making an elderberry syrup that our family took on a daily basis. Recently, we found that we can use elderberries to make tea. Here’s what I do:
I place the elderberries in my strainer/ tea ball infuser
I add a slice of fresh ginger to the strainer/ tea ball infuser
I steep the elderberries & ginger in hot water for about 7 minutes
I add fresh squeezed lemon juice and a tablespoon of local honey
Try it and let me know how you like it!

At some point in every person’s life, they wonder, “Why I am here? What is my purpose?” In the Librarian, Kerrick helps the reader answer those important questions. Through this parable and the subsequent chapters, you will be inspired and challenged to discover and live your God-given purpose.
