I Ran Out Of Taco Seasoning On Taco Tuesday! 😲

Happy Taco Tuesday! I hope you had a wonderful Holy Weekend! We had a great time at Faith Christian Center and it was such an honor to be a guest on The Kellie Show last week.

Last Tuesday, while I was cooking tacos, I realized that I didn’t have enough seasoning for my tacos. (I have been using the same brand seasoning for decades now). I ended up supplementing the seasoning I had which in turn inspired me to create my own seasoning this week.

Has your life and community run out of seasoning? In Matthew 5:13 (NLT), Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.” In New Testament times, salt wasn’t just for seasoning, it was a preservative.

I love how the Message version translates the above verse. It says, “Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.” There is a divine flavor that God wants to emanate from you that expresses Who He is and preserves the world around you. Many Christians busy themselves talking about the darkness, destruction, and corruption that is in the world today. What God has placed within us and put upon us is the solution to the problems the world faces today.

Don’t run out of seasoning. Stay in God’s Word. Continue to develop in your prayer life and your understanding of how to skillfully use your faith and authority. Your future is bright and your best is yet to come! I’ll let you know how my new taco seasoning turns out in the next blog.

Have a great day,

Kerrick
